"The Sardinia Radio Telescope detects radio pulses at 7 GHz from the Magnetar PSR J1745-2900"
The Sardinia Radio Telescope (SRT) is becoming on line and is planning to join the RadioNet3 TNA programme by the beginning of 2014. The first detection of radio pulses at 7 GHz from the Magnetar PSR J1745-2900 made by SRT has been announced by "The Astronomer's Telegram". The announcement was given by a group led by Marco Buttu (INAF - Osservatorio di Cagliari), on behalf of the SRT Science Validation Team and the Commissioning Team.
