Event starts:
Mon, 06/09/2010 (All day)
Event ends:
Fri, 10/09/2010 (All day) JENAM is the Joint European and National Astronomy Meeting organized each year in one of the European countries jointly by the European Astronomical Society and one of the national astronomical societies. JENAM 2010 will take place in Lisbon, Portugal during the week of Sep 6-10 2010. It will be the 18th Annual Meeting of the European Astronomical Society and the 20th Annual Portuguese Meeting of Astronomy and Astrophysics. JENAM 2010 will host a number of Mini-Symposia, plenary sessions and Special Sessions on various aspects of modern astronomy. It will also include the European Astronomical Society (EAS) general assembly and board meetings. We would like to invite the community to submit proposals for the organization of Mini-Symposia. These Mini-Symposia will have a duration equivalent to 2 days, split in morning and afternoon sessions. Each proposal should include a Rationale, a Scientific Organizing Committee, contacts and other information found relevant by the proposers. The proposers must identify the editors of the symposium's proceedings. We also wish to invite the community to propose special sessions. These typically last half a day and are mainly intended for organizational meetings (eg. JAD, OPTICON, RadioNET). However, proposals for other meetings, such as kick-off activites are also encouraged. For more information see the website Hope to see you in Lisbon. |
