Event ends:
Fri, 08/01/2010 (All day) A meeting of the Astrophysical Chemistry Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Royal Astronomical Society 7-8 January 2010 Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics, University of Manchester Astrophysical chemistry is entering a new era with the advent of ALMA and other high-resolution radio interferometers such as e-MERLIN and EVLA. This comes alongside the recent exciting early results from Herschel and the development of high resolution astronomical facilities across the spectrum. This step change in imaging capability is complemented by the increase in computational power allowing the development of more accurate chemical models, and by increasingly sophisticated laboratory experiments.
