Achievements in reporting period:
- List of activities organised during reporting period
CASA Tutorial, Garching (DE), 11-13 May 2009 Panoramic Radio Astronomy, Workshop, Groningen (NL), 2-5 June 2009 LOFAR Surveys Meeting, Edimburg (UK), 17-19 June 2009
- Meetings attended – both meetings for NA organisation or meetings on behalf of RadioNet
The above meetings were part of the initial implementation plan, and have all been attended with major success. FP7-NA2 provided financial support for all, though in different amounts. In particular: CASA Tutorial 7000 Euro
Panoramic Radio Astronomy 9000 Euro
LOFAR Survey Meeting 3500 Euro
Problems / Issues
- Issues - organisational, administrative or other problems foreseen
- Red flags - major problems
No major problems are to be reported as far as the organization of these events is concerned. A main issue is the fact that the FP7 money has not started to flow yet. I admit I feel a bit uncomfortable of spending (and promising) money which has not yet arrived.
Forward Look
- Plan for next year – 12 month outlook, more detail in first 6 month (including budget for each planned meeting/workshop)
- Expected milestones/deliverables
- Expenditures - equipment, material and services
The agenda for the next 12 months is very busy. All the money allocated for the first half of the FP7 period (1.5 years) has been allocated, and no room remains for further support. The information is fairly detailed up to the end of the year. Most of the allocated money is used in travel support to participants. The main deliverables will be electronic conference proceedings available to the whole community. Powerpoint presentations will also be available in most cases, for a wide distribution of the information through the whole community.
