1. Recruitment of ARC scientist carried out. Candidate selected and recommendation currently with ESO administration.

2. Meetings - RAL attended SKA Calibration and Imaging Meeeting, Socorro; discussions on calibration models for AIPS and CASA.

PA and RAL attended the ALBiUS kick-off meeting in Dwingeloo.

Issues

Delay in recruitment. Anticipate necessary staff in post Aug/Sept 2009. Requires some delay in deliverables; no change of scope.

6 months: Essential meetings with JIVE to plan effort on interoperability and with ASTRON, JBCA, Cambridge, NRAO to establish coherent programme over Mosaic/direction-dependent calibration/distributed imaging/polarization tasks. Report on current and proposed mosaic imaging software.
