All-Wave Astronomy. Shklovsky-100

The 1st July, 2016 commemorates 100 years since the birth of the outstanding Russian astrophysicist Iosif S. Shklovsky, a correspondent member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, laureate of the Lenin prize, member of the National Academy of Sciences USA, the Royal Astronomical Society and many other academic societies.

I. Shklovsky made essential and fundamental contributions in many areas of modern astrophysics. He is the author of nine monographs and more than three hundred scientific publications.
In commemoration of this date, the Astro Space Center of P.N.Lebedev Physical Institute, Space Research Institute of RAS, Sternberg Astronomical Institute of the Moscow University and Eurasian Astronomical Society organize the international conference "All-wave Astronomy. Shklovsky-100", which will be held in Moscow from 20 to 22 June 2016.

The conference will present the results of modern research in all-wave astronomy-related issues those were of particular interest of Shklovsky:
* the сosmic microwave background and the early Universe;
* supermassive black holes and active galactic nuclei;
* sources of the cosmic rays generation;
* supernovae and their remnants, gamma-ray bursts;
* physics of the interstellar medium;
* stellar evolution and planetary systems;
* the SETI problem.

Leading Russian and foreign scientists will give reviews and original talks. Also friends and students of Iosif Shklovsky will share their memories.

The working language of the conference is English.
